Macomnet

Telecommunication company Macomnet was founded on November 5, 1991 as a joint venture between the Moscow Metro and the Andrew Corporation. The Macomnet company, one of the largest telecommunications operators in Russia:

• was the first among telecom operators in Moscow to build its own fiber-optic network, on the basis of which it began providing communication services;
• was the first to master the technology of building a telecommunication network in tunnels and underground structures;
• became the first in Russia and Eastern Europe to build extensive SDH and ATM communication networks.

For 25 years, the total length of the laid fiber-optic cable of the Macomnet network was 4050 kilometers. Customers' offices are connected to Macomnet with 4,120 last mile lines. Customers are provided with a full range of modern telecommunication services, including telephone services, guaranteed access to the Internet, access services to electronic trade and information systems, construction of corporate and technological communication networks.
