Aeroflot

AEROFLOT is the leader of civil aviation in Russia, the de facto national carrier. Founded on March 17, 1923, Aeroflot is the strongest brand among the leading Russian corporations and the strongest aviation brand in the world, according to Brand Finance, an independent agency.

Aeroflot Group is one of the top 20 largest aviation holdings in the world. Guided by the Development Strategy for the period up to 2028. Aeroflot joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 1989.

Aeroflot is based at Sheremetyevo Airport. The airline has five branches in Russia: in St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Perm, Krasnoyarsk and Vladivostok.

During ten months of 2020, Aeroflot carried 12.7 million passengers. Passenger traffic amounted to 31.3 billion passenger-kilometers. Aeroflot's passenger seat occupancy rate is 67.1%. In general, Aeroflot Group carried 25.8 million passengers in ten months of 2020. The operating results of this period were influenced by significant restrictions on flights associated with the spread of coronavirus infection in the world.

Aeroflot is constantly improving its aircraft fleet, and has also created a modern hub at the Sheremetyevo base airport, including through the commissioning of terminals B and C in the Northern Terminal Complex.
